Check out what’s going on at Literacy Lubbock!

NOVEMBER 18TH, 5:00 - 10:00 PM

I’ve signed Literacy Lubbock up for a fundraiser with Jason’s Deli, but I need your help in order to make it happen. I need to get at least 50 RSVPs, to show we have people interested in attending, for GroupRaise (the people putting on the fundraiser) to give us the green light.
I have it scheduled for Monday, November 18th, between 5:00 – 10:00 PM. It’s one of those fundraisers where you mention Literacy Lubbock when you check out and we’ll get 15% of your meal donated back to us.
This is just a nod saying you’re interested. If you can’t make it to the actual fundraiser, I completely understand, but if you could just RSVP to help us boost our numbers, I’d appreciate it. And, of course, I’d love to see you at Jason’s Deli.
I’m going to (hopefully!) have a table set up where I’ll be passing out books to the kids coming in for dinner. I’m going to make this a Family Literacy fundraiser, where I’ll share our Tiny Tots program, tell anyone interested about the importance of reading–you know the drill.
But I can’t make it happen without your support! Here’s the link to RSVP. I appreciate it!

Help Lubbock brush away illiteracy!

Literacy Lubbock will be co-hosting a creative fundraiser with Board & Brush! This is the perfect opportunity to let your creativity run wild. For each person that registers with the unique code BBLITERACY, Board & Brush will donate a portion of the proceeds back to Literacy Lubbock.

Choose from a wide range of project options, including seasonal, religious, quotes, pets, and so much more! You can make a work of art unique to you, one that fits with your personal design, all while ensuring that your friends and neighbors in Lubbock have access to free literacy and educational classes. It’s a win-win!

Projects are $68.00 apiece, and please note that even though the option to enter the BBLITERACY code says discount, one won’t be applied to your order–instead, that discount is going to help Literacy Lubbock fund our classes and tutors.

Just think! Your attending this workshop, and making a work of art perfect for your home or office, will actually help another Lubbockite learn how to read.

Seating is limited, so register now!

At Tiny Tots storytime, children have a story read to them and then are given a free copy of that book to take home with them! Studies have shown that larger home libraries lead to a stronger desire to read–and a stronger desire to read leads to better academic performances.

Godeke and Wolfforth Libraries meet on Wednesdays at 12:30PM.
