READ ACROSS AMERICA DAY

MARCH 2ND

FACEBOOK LIVE

Who’s ready to party?  Here’s how it works:

  • From now until Tuesday, stop by your closest Lubbock Public Library to pick up a FREE Dr. Seuss Birthday bag!
  • Inside, you’ll find games, crafts, and a special book, The Best Nest.  Read, play, enjoy the fun and games!
  • Then join us on Tuesday morning at 11:00 on Literacy Lubbock’s Facebook Page as we go Live to listen to Mayor Dan Pope read the book in a very special story-time!

Please, help us celebrate Dr. Seuss’ birthday!  And while you’re at it, get your kid excited about reading too–reading to your child is the #1 way to help them do better in school.  We want them to succeed, that’s why we’re giving away these free books and crafts.  Because who knows?  That little kiddo listening to you reading Dr. Seuss today could grow up to be an astronaut, an engineer, a plumber, or a doctor in the future.  And isn’t that such a cool thought?
